Come Meet Shadow

Shadow is a black/blue merle neutered Boxer/Labrador Retriever mix and is about 1 year and 5 months old. Shadow's family gave him up because he had a bad habit of escaping; he is able to escape 5 foot high fencing. We are assuming he tried to escape because he was left alone too much. He spent 9-10 hours everyday in a crate, then spent the night in an outside kennel. This happy boy needs a family who will open their arms and their home to him and let him come inside! Shadow loves to fetch and play with toys! He is a very smart boy! He knows the "sit" command, and he is eager and ready to learn more! He is good with other dogs, and he is good with kids (he has lived with pre-teens before); if you have younger children, please bring them with you to meet Shadow to make sure it is a good match. Shadow seems to be afraid of smoke; if he sees smoke he will go run and hide in the closet. Shadow has been through a lot in his young life, let's help him find his forever home where he will be loved!
